Some Facts About the Sea Shore
A beach is a narrow strip between the ocean and the land. It is formed by wave and tide motion depositing sediments on the shore. Sediments and small particles of rocks and clay broken down from large rocks and transported down rivers by the river flow.
Sandy beaches are used for recreation and holiday destinations but there are also many organisms and wildlife which live in the narow habitat and which we must be mindful of when we visit.
Be sure to leave only your foot prints behind and take all rubbish away.
