Castle with flags and moat drawing for coloring

Some Facts
About Castles

Castles were built in Europe and also the middle East as fortifield buildings in which royal and noble people lived and which they used to control the surrounding lands. Castles are built with stone and have thick walls and towers with which to defend themselves.
Eventually with the invention and use of gun powder canons were able to destroy a castle's defences that in the past made them difficult to attack.
Some castles have moats. These are broad and deep ditches that surround the castle and are filled with water or are dry. They were used as a defense against attack from invaders.
