Some Facts About Diggers
The original name Diggers came from a group of English people who attempted to farm common land. Today Diggers are a group of earth working machines and may also be known as excavators, bulldozers, graders or earth movers. They range in size from mini to very large and are used to prepare the ground for roading, building and drainage.
Excavators have long hydraulic arms at the end of which is a bucket and a skilled operator can even open a bottle cap with his machine. Many places have digger competitions where drivers are required to perform delicate and difficult tasks.
