A spaceship or spacecraft is a vessel for traveling and living in the vacuum of space. Man made spacecraft include the now retired Space Shuttle and the orbiting Space Station.
Spaceships are generally thought of as having occupants but there are also unmanned spacecraft which have travelled far from earth. The earliest of these is the Voyager 1 space probe launched in 1977 by NASA which has now left our solar system and is some 12 billion miles away from earth.
Soon space travel will become a common form of transport around the earth.
