THE APPLE PICKER
New Zealand has a large apple and fruit industry. During the ripening seasons large numbers of people are required to help harvest the crops. Many budget travellers arrive from overseas in this time to help fund a working holiday in the country.
This painting has been painted in an impressionist manner with dabs and strokes of pure colour. Bright sunshine radiates the heat of the work and you can almost feel the weight of the apple laden carry sack.
