Sutton (All Rights Reserved) DETAIL		SAINT GEORGE AND THE DRAGON Many artists have been inspired by this story of chivalry and bravery in which Saint George battles the dragon of a lake and saves the King's daughter from certain death. There are many depictions of this story, but as is my want and my interest, I like to add eroticism to my scenes, which in the past may have been more frowned upon. But sex and death are intrinsic to life and to tales. So I have portrayed Sabra (the King's daughter) in a very submissive way with the dragon almost fully on top of her. Also I have placed the story in a New Zealand setting using the famous Mitre Peak as a background. As far as I am aware New Zealand did and does not have classical painters of an era when these artworks were in vogue, and because I am a kiwi, why should I not be the first.
